Reactivity of 2-metoxycarbonylcinnamonitriles with 2‾-Cinnamoyl-2-cyanoacetohydrazides Competitive cyclizations to piperidinium pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridinides and 2-Cinnamyl[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine

The reaction of 2-methoxycarbonylcinnamonitriles 6 and 2‾-cinnamoyl-2-cyano- aceto hydrazide 5 lead to the formation of a novel synthesis of piperidinium pyrazolo [3,4- b]pyridinides 10. In the reaction, an alternative cyclization leading to form 2-cinnamyl[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine 12. Compounds 12 were isolated from the reaction mixture as the corresponding piperidinium salts 11 due to the high stability of the heterocyclic anion. Acidification with 10% of hydrochloric acid result the neutral 2-cinnamyl[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine 12. The reaction is depending on the conditions, the corresponding intermediate dihydropyrid- inones 7 pyrazolo derivatives 8 were also obtained.

Determination of Helicobacter pylori IgG and Smoking as a risk factor for Atherosclerosis in Iraqi patients

The present work aims to determine the role of H. pylori IgG on the clinical expression of
Atherosclerosis among Iraqi patients, and to provide a new evidence about the relationship between
Smoking and H. pylori IgG .
This study included 80 male patients, with Atherosclerosis ,Who were divided into two sub groups
smokers (51) and non smokers (29) , the age ranged between 40-58 years. A control group of 20 Healthy
volunteers ,with age ranged between 36 -58 years .A control group matched with patients for sex and
ethnic. H. pylori infection was diagnosed by detection of IgG antibodies against H. pylori by ELISA.
Present study shows a significant increasing in concentration of H. pylori IgG antibodies in serum of
both patient groups compared to control, furthermore smoker patients showed non-significant increasing
compared to non smoker patients ,present result provides evidence that H. pylori infection is a risk factor
for atherosclerosis , Which may be associated with smoking

S^*-submodule and a vector sublattice

Compactly b-closed and compactly b-k-closed sets

In this paper ,we have dealt with the concepts of ( b-irresolute ), ( st-b- compact ) and ( b- continuous ) functions , and find that every b-irresolute is b- continuous and the converse is not true in general .We have also remember the concept of - space and we have proved that every b- compact subset of an - space is b- closed , and if isn’t - space , then need not that every b- compact set is b-closed . Finally we defined compactly b- closed set and proved that every b- closed subset of a space is compactly b- closed .

Extraction, Identification and Determination of Tannin from Iraqi Pomegranate peels and cores by Aqueous solutions

High percentages of tannin were obtained from Iraqi pomegranate peels and cores by aqueous solutions extraction. The extracts were identified by FTIR and UV-Vis spectrophotometry and found to be as tannic acid formed of two units of gallic acid. The proposed combination of extracted tannic acid with copper was in the 1:1 mole ratio as a result of reduction copper (II) to copper (I) by tannic acid and combination with it to form copper tannate. This mole ratio was supported by the volatilization method of copper tannate at 5000C in addition to iodimetric titration methods.

Preparation And Spectral Characterization Of Some Transition Metal Complexes With New Azo Imidazole Ligand And Study Some Industrial Application

New organic heterocyclic azo dye as ligand 2-[1-(4-Bromo phenyl)azo]-imidazol (4-BrPAIm) has been prepared by coupling reaction of the diazonium salt of 4-Bromo aniline with imidazole in alkaline ethanolic solution.The azo dye ligand has been characterized and depending upon spectral data of IR,UV-visble and 1HNMR. Metal complexes of this ligand with Ni(II),Pd(II),Pt(IV) ,Cu(II),Ag(I) andAu(III) salts were prepared with a metal:ligand ratio(M:L) of (1:1) for Pd(II) and Au(III) while it is 1:2 ratio for rest metal ions.The isolated solide complexes are found to have the general formula [NiL2Cl2].H2O,[PdLCl2], [PtL2Cl2]Cl2.H2O, [CuL2Cl2].H2O ,[AgL2]NO3 and [AuLCl2]Cl.H2O .The chelate compexes were characterized and their stereo chemical structures and geometrice were suggested depending upon data of elemental analysis ,molar conductivity ,atomic absorption ,magnetic susceptibility measurements ,IR and electronic spectra.The data show that the ligand a bidantate and coordinates to the metal ion Via the nitrogen atom of azo group and with imidasole N3 atom .Octahydral configuration is suggested for Ni(II) , Pt(IV) and Cu(II) metal complexes but square planer for Pd(II) and Au(III) complexe and tetrahedral for Ag(I) complex.Condctivity measurements of prepared complexes showed electrolyte for Pt(IV), Au(III) and Ag(I) complexes and non electrolyte for rest complexes. In dimetheyl sulphoxide (DMSO) solution have been evaluated by agar plate diffution technique againt foure human pathogenic bacterial staphylococus aureus(Gram Positive Bacteria),pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli and Ribrio cholerae(Gram nagtive Bacteria).The ligand and some of the complexes were found exhibit good bacterial activities .In addition the dyeing performance of the prepared ligand and it,s complexes was assessed .The dye were tested for light and dctergent fastness.The fixied color have the feature of stability to wards light ,wash and friction.

An R-submodule N of an R-module M is called pure if for every ideal I of R . In this paper we introduce the notion of purely quasi-invertible submodule and a purely quasi-Dedekind module, where an R-submodule N of an R-module M is called purely quasi-invertible if, N is pure and . And an R-module M is called purely quasi-Dedekind if, every nonzero pure submodule N of M is quasi-invertible ; that is . Beside these, we also introduce the notion of purely prime module, where an R-module M is called purely prime module if for all nonzero pure submodule N of M .We gave many properties related with this concepts. And we studied the relationships between these concepts and several other types of modules. In this paper R is a commutative ring with unity and M is a unitary R-module .

Tables are presented for the calculations of the basic parameters and values, a survey concerning the theoretical equations used for styrene/NaLS/K2S2O8 reaction mixture parameters are presented from which the absolute values of the following quantities can be conveniently calculated for any temperature: soap and initiators concentration, particles number according to particle radius containing radicals, rate constants of initiation, propagation and termination and the corresponding energy difference of propagation and termination. The theoretical results are discussed according to the models of Smith theory and Hamielec, is that in emulsion polymerization, Loci (minute particle) of chain propagation, where the monomer concentration is perturbed by conversion to polymer are immediately swamped by un reacted monomer. Numerous data from literature are in good quantitative or qualitative agreement with theories proposed in different research’s in field of study.

This study is concerned with the adsorption isotherms of dyes Fuchsin basic and Birlliant Green, by using Ultra-violet-visible spectroscopy technique, the results showed that the dyes isotherms of Fuchsin basic and Birlliant Green were (L3, S3) according to (Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms Giles classification ).
Temperature has been investigated at (298-328k), the results obtained indicate that the adsorption of Fuchsin basic dye, increase with increase of temperature, in the other words, the adsorption process is Endothermic and ΔH is positive, while the adsorption of Birlliant Green decreased with the increase of temperature which means that the adsorption process Exothermic and ΔH in negative .
The effect of the acid function was also studied, the results obtained were follows according to the sequence :
in the Fuchsin basic PH 7 > 10 > 2
the Birlliant Green PH 3 > 10 > 7 .

Preparation and characterization of new azo thaizolyl ligand and some metal complexes

The new bidentate ligand 5-[(6R,7R,Z)-3-(acetoxymethyl)-7-(2-(2-azo thiazol-4-yl)- 2-(methoxyimino)acetamido)-8-oxo-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2- carboxylic acid]-salcylic acid , was synthesized by the reaction of a dizonium salt solution for cefotaxime with salcylic acid in alkaline aqueous solution . Four complexes for a new dye were prepared in alcoholic at pH=9 .The dye and it’s complexes of metal ions ;Co(ΙΙ) , Ni(ΙΙ) , Cu(ΙΙ) and Zn(ΙΙ) were characterized by infra-red (FTIR) and Uv –visible spectroscopy ,atomic absorption , magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity measurement.
In addition the molar ratio measurement were used to identify the suspected molecular formula for the complexes.These measurements suggest the following molecular formula for the metal complexes : 1- Octahedral configuration with the formula; [M(CAS)2Cl2] ,M= Co(ΙΙ) , Ni(ΙΙ) , Zn(ΙΙ) .2-Square planer configuration with the formula [Cu(CAS)2]Cl2

Effect of Protein deficiency on body weight and liver tissue in two types of chickens

The protein Consider one of the nutrient elements that has important role in the metabolism of organism body , its decrease in food causes less weight body and more changes of tissues. therefore , this study conducted to know the protein deficiency effect of two types of chickens .30 chicks (15 Hubbard+ 15Ross) on day old ,divided to three groups ,every groups contain 10 chicks (5 Hubbard+5Ross) as follow: first group is control (were given 23% crude protein including ) ,2nd group (were given 20.5% crude protein including ) , the 3rd group were given 18% crude protein. Studied the change of bodies weights and histological change of liver .result showed significant decrease (p >0.05)in 2nd and 3rd groups (of both types) comparative with control groups . On histological examination of liver it revealed in 3rd group 18% CP include dilation in central vein and erode to its epithelium , congestion in hepatic sinusoids with apoptosis and erode to the general structure of liver , while 2nd group 20.5% CP appeared less effect like some congestion in central vein , small dilation in the sinusoids with necrosis in some of cells.
40Cº the phage activity was not affected but it was decreased continuously when temperature increase 50 Cº and 60 Cº, in 70 Cº phage activity was diminished in about 7-8 minutes. Highest adsorption rate of isolated vibriophages on bacterial cells was about 2-4 minutes, time increment significantly increase the adsorption while dilution and shaking reduce adsorption. Maximum lysis activity of bacterial cells was documented in about two hours and resulted in elevation of viral concentration and decreasing bacterial cell concentration in the same time, complete lysis time was about 6 hours. Results also showed that the sensitivity of isolated bacteria towards the phages was high especially to river phages about 88.5% and less to sewage phages 77.22%, while highest sensitivity was recorded in the positive reference strain 91%.Over all results of this work reflect the important role of vibriophages in controlling the levels of Vibrio cholerae in environment.

Isolation and Studying of Cholera phage in Al-Diwanyia city and possibility of using it to control Vibrio cholerae phenotype 01 in laboratory

This work was carried out in the period between June 2009 to November 2010, water samples were collected from five positions of the river of Al-Diwanyia city, 50 sample were collected (25 from river and 25 from sewage and heavy water) to isolate bacteria and 45 sample were collected for isolation of phages (25 from river and 20 from sewage and heavy water) .
Results showed that only three samples gave positive record for cholera from river about 12%, while sewage samples recorded 12 (48%) . Vibriophages were isolated from river about 56±22 pfu/ml while from sewage were 23±12 pfu/ml. Results also showed that the isolated vibriophages appeared at the maximum activity in the alkaline medium between 8-10 this activity was declined after 10, activity also was reduced in the acidic medium and activity end point was around 6. A NEW RECORD FOR SOME PARASITES IN BAT IN BASRAH PROVINCE

Seventeen bat were hunted from the Ma'qal harbor region at Basrah province for detection on the presence parasites in blood and intestine. The present study noticed that all hunted animals were negative from blood parasites, while, a new intestinal trematodes were recorded, and it's : Plagiorchis vespertilionis, Prosthodendrium chilostomum, Anchitrema sanguinum. With a percentage infection between 17.6 - 64.70% and intensity of infection 2- 11.2 .Also, found Acanthocephalan worms but it couldn't do a complete classification for this parasite. This study considered as a new record for trematodes in bats ( Iraqi strain) at Basrah governorate.

This study aims to identifications from path fungi which infect one of the important plants in our country because it have prosperous morphology in place when found it for big & high volume , this plant called Aibiza sp. The fungi causes damage for these plant This search include isolate and diagnosis fungi are founding in infected plant which found in soil agriculture plant in it and also bio treatment was done , from these fungi in vitro in two types of Trichoderma sp. , the result from isolate and diagnosis fungi show appear from path fungi group represented Alternaria alternate , Alternaria teunissima , Rhizoctonia solani , Pythium aphanidermatum , Aspergillus niger , Aspergillus fumigates , Aspergillus terrus , Curvularia sp. , Fusarium oxysporium , Fusarium solani , Penicillium italicum found in infection part of plant , while foundation fungi in soil that plant grow include the fungi isolate before . and the result was shown using two types of Trichoderma sp. Able to inhabitation path fungi for different range compared with control treatmeant.

Detection of some humoral autoimmune parameters in diabetes mellitus patients at Najaf city

An immunologic study were performed to determine the prevalence of autoantibodies to self-antigens in the cells of the pancreas, the two antibodies, glutamic acid decarboxylase autoantibodies( GADAs ) and islet cell autoantibodies ( ICAs ), as well as autoantibodies of the pituitary gland in the sera of patients with diabetes type I and for different age groups and both sexes of the patients for the period from January 2009 to June 2010. The patients and control groups were testing the proportion of sugar glucose in the blood before breakfast as well as checking all sera for the detection of glutamic acid decarboxylase autoantibodies by use enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay , as well as revealing islet cell autoantibodies and the pituitary gland autoantibodies for using indirect immunofluorescence assay, in addition to measured the concentrations of immunoglobulins IgG, IgA and IgM by single radial immuno diffusion assay . The study showed the spread of a high percentage of glutamic acid decarboxylase and islet cell autoantibodies in patients with type I diabetes , the percentage reached 48% and 56% respectively, while there have been no rate of those autoantibodies in apparently normal subjects and the differences were statically non significant below the level of ( P > 0.05 ) for these antibodies in both sexes. The rate of GADAs in females raised to 55.56 % while the rate in males reached 41.026 %, and the ICA was higher in males 58.97 % compared with their proportion in females 52.78 % as well as the proportion of those antibodies were decrease with progression age. The study showed that there is a weak link but without significant differences at ( P > 0.05 ) between the autoantibodies of the pituitary gland and type I diabetes mellitus , where found that the antibodies in sera of four patients only compared to the total number ( 75 patients ). The results also it was show high mean of concentrations of antibodies IgG, IgA and IgM in sera of patient's in comparison with the control group, also noted a decrease in concentrations of the immunoglobulins with the aged patients.

EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF DIFFERENT HERBICIDE IN CONTROLLING WEEDS ON CORN AND THEIR EFFECT ON YIELD AND ITS COMPONENTS

نفذت تجربتان حقليتان خلال الموسم الربيعي والخريفي لعام 2004 وفق تصميم القطاعات الكاملة المعشاة بثلاث مكررات في حقل التجارب التابع لقسم علوم المحاصيل الحقلية – كلية الزراعة – جامعة بغداد بهدف تقييم كفاءة مبيدات الادغال Bentazone, Atrazine و Prapaquizafop , Isxoflutol و,Imazamox Clomazone ومعدلات الرش المختلفة واثرها على الحاصل ومكوناته للذره الصفراء .اثرت المبيدات في صفة الوزن الجاف للادغال فقد تفوقت المعاملة بمبيد Isoxflutol بمعدل 0.105 كغم . هـ-1في الموسم الربيعي بتحقيق اقل وزن جاف للادغال بلغ 203.3 غم . م -2 في حين سجلت معاملة المقارنة اعلى وزن جاف بلغ 782 غم . م-2 اما في الموسم الخريفي فقد حققت المعاملة بمبيد Atrazine بمعدل 2.4 كغم .هـ-1 اقل وزن جاف للادغال بلغ 22.6 غم .م-2 قياساً في حين بلغ 179.2 غم .م-2 باعلى وزن جاف للادغال في معاملة المقارنة .الذي بلغ 179.2 غم .م-2 . اما تاثير المبيدات في الحاصل ومكوناته فقد تفوق مبيد Isoxflutol بمعدل 0.105 كغم .هـ-1 و مبيد Atrazine بمعدل 3.2 كغم .هـ-1 في الموسم الربيعي باعطاء اعلى حاصل حبوب بلغ 4.1 و 3.3 طن .هـ1- قياسا بمعاملة المقارنة التي اعطت اقل حاصل حبوب بلغ 1 طن .هـ-1 كذلك اعطت المعاملة بمبيد Isoxflutolبمعدل 0.105 كغم .هـ-1 اعلى وزن حبوب بلغ 64 غم/ 300 حبه في حين اعطت معاملة المقارنة اقل وزن حبوب بلغ 48.6 غم/300حبه كذلك تفوقت نفس المعاملة Isoxflutol بمعدل 0.105 كغم .هـ-1 والمعاملة بمبيد Atrazine بمعدل 3.2 كغم .هـ-1 باعطاء اعلى عدد حبوب / عرنوص بلغ 336.2 و 331.7 حبه على التوالي فيما حققت معاملة المقارنة اقل عدد حبوب بلغ 160.6حبه غير ان صفة عدد الصفوف / عرنوص لم تختلف معنوياً وفي كلا الموسمين الربيعي والخريفي . اما في الموسم الخريفي فقد تفوقت المعاملة بمبيد Atrazine بمعدل 3.2 كغم .هـ-1 وبمعدل 2.4 كغم .هـ-1 وبمبيد imazamox 0.08 كغم .هـ-1 باعطاء اعلى حاصل حبوب بلغ 8.3 و 8.2 و 8.1 طن . هـ-1 قياساً بمعاملة المقارنة التي اعطت 3 طن .هـ-1 اقل حاصل حبوب غير ان صفة وزن الحبوب لم تتأثر بشكل معنوياً في هذا الموسم ، وحققت المعاملة بمبيد Atrazine بمعدل 3.2 كغم/هـ-1 وبمعدل 2.4 كغم.هـ-1 بإعطاء اعلى عدد حبوب / عرنوص بلغ 496.7 و 489.5 على التوالي قياساً بمعاملة المقارنة التي اعطت اقل عدد حبوب / عرنوص بلغ 300.6 .

Study of the parasitic invertebrates group on long ear hedgehogs Hemiechinus auritus in Al-Diwaniya city.

In this study we examined 21 samples of hedgehogs Hemiechinus auritus we found all of hedgehogs(100%) are infected with one or more of ecto and endoparasites.
The study appeared that studied are infected with four types of ectoparasites these are: Argus persicus, Haemaphysalis sp. , ,Caparinia tripilis and Archaeopsylla erinacei (19%,9.52%,14.28%,4.76% respectively).
Higher infestation with ectoparasies were with ticks and lower with fleas(4.76%) %) 28.57
The species Argus persicus ; Haemaphysalis sp.; Archaeopsylla erinacei. and Caparinia tripilis;. were recorded for the first time in long ear hedgehog as intermediate and final host in Iraq .
