Effect of myristica fragrans L. seed extracts on the fertility of male albino mice and some functional parameters

The work aimed to study the effect of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Myristica fragrans L. seeds on the fertility of males of albino mice.
Fourty Swiss male mice of Balb/C srain were used in this study, for age 50-75 day,and in average 25-35 gm,the mice were divided randomaly into control group and treated group and in average 8 for each group,Two doses were used 50 and 100 mg/kg for aqueous extract,25and 50 mg/kg for alcoholic extract, and the animals were injected subcutaneous for 6 weeks as one dose every 48hr, while the mice of the control group were injected with (NaCl 0.9%) normal saline in the same way.
Treatment with Myristica fragrans L. extract led to not found significant effect (p>0.05) in the average of testicular weight after the treatment with the extract of Myristica fragrans and average of epididymal weight after the treatment with the aqueous extract 50 and 100 mg/kg,while asignificant decrease (p<0.05) in the average of epididymal weight after treatment with the alcoholic extract 25and 50 mg/kg. significant decrease(p<0.05) in average of percentage of fetal sperm in the testis after treatment with the aqueous extract 50 and 100 mg/kg, and not found significant effect(p>0.05) after treatment with alcoholic extract 25and 50 mg/kg, while a significant increase (p<0.05) in average of percentage of fetal sperm in epididymis after treatment with extracts of Myristica fragrans ,and not found significant effect (p>0.05) in average of percentage of abnormal spermatozoa in epididymis after treatment with extracts of Myristica fragran

Ecological Study of Epiphytic Algae on Phragmites sp. and Typha sp. hydrophytes in Diwaniya River

The present study included some physical and chemical characters and epiphytic algae in Diwaniya river. Three stations were chosen on the river, the first one in the beginning of the river , the second in the middle and the third in the end of the river. The samples were collected from these stations for three months from November 2007 to January 2008. Two kinds of plant were chosen which available numerously on the sides of the river they are Phragmites and Typha for study epiphytic algae on it . The Results showed that water river was alkaline and have good oxygen content and very hard. Hardness increased towards South of the river and abundant in positives ions in the Diwaniya river. Identification of algae was reached to (70) taxa , the dominance for Bacillariophyceae ( Diatoms ) about ( 72% ) Followed by Chlorophyceae ( 14% ) the Cyanophyceae ( 13% ) , Euglenophyceae ( 1% ). In the present study epiphytic algae on Phragmites was higher than Typha for all study stations , the dominance for Bacillariophyceae species like, Nitzschia palea , Fragilaria virescens , F. crotonensis , Aulacosira granulata .

The role of Tricoderma harzianum Rafai and iron and manganese elements on the protection of tomato seeds and seedlings from infection by some pathogenic fungi

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficiency of Tricoderma harzianum , iron and manganese elements and their interaction on control seeds decay and damping off tomato seedlings disease caused by fungi Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium solani. .
Results showed that , the addition of nutritive elements Fe and Mn at different concentrations to the medium of P.D.A. have different effects on growth fungi T. harzianum , R. solani and F. solani . It was found that the addition of Mn with concentration of 1 gm commercial part / L medium encouraged the growth of fungus T. harzianum and inhibited the growth of fungus R. solani , while , the concentration 2 gm commercial part / L. has the most effective reduction in the growth of F. solani , it reached 2.25 cm compared with 5.08 cm for control treatment.
Results also showed that fungus T. harzianum produced high ability to reduce the rates of growth of both fungi R. solani and F. solani in medium that treated by Mn and Fe , which significantly different from the control treatment that reached growth of pathogenic fungi to 9.0 and 8.23 cm , respectively.
The interaction between T. harzianum and nutritive elements was highly effected in protecting seeds and seedlings of tomato from the infection pathogenic fungi and transactions were more effective in protecting seeds and seedlings from infection fungi R. solani and F. solani that treated with T. harzianum and Mn , led to an increase of seeds germination percentage to 73.33 , 65.67 % and reduce the number of seeds decay to 26.67 , 23.34 % and an increase in the dry weight of plants . All those indicator ions were different to the control treatment containing pathogenic fungi alone .

Study The Effect of different Concentration of Prostaglandin F2α in the male reproductive System and som of the blood parameters in Albino Mice

The present study was aimed to termine the effect of prostaglandin F2α in the male reproductive system and some of the blood parameters in mice . It was used (18 ) animal , they were divided randomly into three equal groups as follows :-
The first group :It was treated with dose of prostaglandin F2α in concentration 10µgkg of body weight .
The second group : It was treated with dose of prostaglandin F2α concentration 20 µgkg of body weight .
The control group : It was treated with normal saline 0.9% . The results were appeared significant decrease (p<0.05) in the weights of testes and epididymis in animals of two experimental groups as compared with the control groups .

The red blood corpuscles count , hemoglobin concentration and packed cell volume in the second experimental group as compared with the control group , and significant decrease (p<0.05) in the mean of total leukocytes count in the first and second groups as compared with the control group .
Also these results were showed a significant increase (p<0.05) in the mean of the triglyceride concentration , total cholesterol concentration ,LDL–C and VLDL in animal's serum of two experimental groups in compar
ison with the control group .
The histological study of the animals testes was showed degeneration and necrosis in some of somniferous tubules with a decrease in spermatogenesis and an increase in the distance between the somniferous tubules in the second experimental group in comparison with the control group . The histological changes in the epididymal tissues were showed irregular arrangement of endometrial lining cells of epididymal tubule with a decrease in the mature sperm

This study was conducted on Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate /Iraq during 2006 to evaluate the effect of garlic(Allium sativum .L) when it is using as drug for those who are suffering from Pinworm (Oxyuris) Entrobias Vermicularis compared with Mebnidazole which ordinary usable in Iraq as a drug for treatment for this case. The experiment was include 50 patients their ages between 11 months and 12 years and the laboratory test indicate they were highly positive from pinworm The result was revealed that the best effect ,activity and highest remedial percentage was obtained with garlic used 90 to 100% that depends on usable way , when was with Mebnidazole 80%.On other hand there are no side effects from garlic used by mouth while Mebnidazole causes 40% abdominal pain 30% nausea and 20%headache.

The experiment was conducted at the laboratory of botany , Department of Biology < Kerbala University in 2004.The seeds of Acacia cynophylla L. were treated with different concentrations of gibrillic acid and kinetin to determine their effects on seed germination as well as seedling lengths after 45 days of planting . The results showed that the concentrations of 50 mg / l gibrillic acid were significantly the most effective on seedling lengths and seed germination ,respectively . The effect of kinetin at 10 mg / concentrations regarding seed germination and seedling lengths . The combinations of 50 and 10, 100 and 20 were significantly the most effective on seedling lengths, 50 and 10 ,50 and 20, 100 and 20 mg /l of these two growth regulators , respectively had the most significant effect compared with all other combinations.

In this study, series of laboratory experiments were conducted to test the effect of
various concentrations of water extract fruits of colocynth Citrullus colocynthis and leaves of
eucalyptus Eucalyptus spp. on some biological aspects of mosquito Culex pipiens (mortality,
growth period, productivity and fertility).The results showed that eucalyptus water extract was
more active than colocynth water extract in some aspects. Higher pupal mortality were
29.3%when tested with water extract of eucalyptus at 100% concentration, and larval
mortalities of the four larval instars were 90 ,90 ,63.4 , 45 % respectively in the same treatment
after 24 hour of treatment, while the accumulated mortality rates were between 6.7-100% and
6.7-93.3% for each the eucalyptus and colocynth extract respectively in the concentration being
used (0-100%).The growth period of immature stages were 14 days in 75% con. of eucalyptus
water extract, female productivity decreased to 112.6 eggfemale and fertility reducedto 89.2%
in 50% con. of eucalyptus water extract

The aim of this study is to the reveal some causes factors for infertility for four years
(2003-2007 ) , The present research found gradually evaluation in percentage of infertility And
limited ratio of primary infertility ( 73 .6 % ) , and secondary infertility ( 26 . 4 % ) for study
samples which are (110) women random samples for infertility women and collected from
dilveary for children hospital in Diwaniyah city , and 30 women as control sample .
This study shows the high percentage of infertile women found between age ( 25 – 29 ) years
and ( 30 -34 ) years . also studied Karyotype for samples , Numerical chromosomal
abnormalities were Mosaic sex chromosome (45,X0) in percent (9.1.%.) and (XXX , 47 ) in
per.(13.33%) from blood cells , structural chromosomal abn. were not record any case in
studied samples , in addition to study of sister chromatide exchange was significant deference
(p≤0.05) between primary infert .( 6.7) and second infertility( 6.9) in comparate with control
sample ( 3.9) .
The result of micranucles test were siginificant deferences (p≤0.05 ) .

Effect of different levels of pH on growth parameters of Hornwort Ceratophyllum demersum L.

An experiment was conducted in plant laboratory, Plant Protection Dept., College of Agriculture, University of Kufa. Hornwort samples were collected from Kufa River during August, 2006. The aim of study was determined the effect of different levels of pH on growth parameters (plant fresh and dry weights, number of branch and length) of plant and knowledge optimum and maximum pH plant can growth in it. Plants were placed into aquarium containing solutions, with pH values (7.00, 9.58, 10.19, 10.94, 11.43, and 12.23) with three replicates. Results showed that the control treatment (pH = 7.00) due to producing the highest values of measured growth parameters. Meanwhile, treatment of (pH = 12.23) gave the lowest values for the above mentioned parameters.

Effect of Sewage on properties of chemical and microbial for kufa river water

The objective of this research was to know range effect Sewage water on the of kufa river water chemical and microbial contents. This study comprised the selection of three water stations ; the first is before kufa barrage , the second near by the kufa water refinement station and the third is after the heavy water refinement station to Study the probable effects of sewages on the bacterial content of kufa river. Sample were examined of the three stations from the period of February to April 2005 .The study comprised the measurements of electrical conductivity, temperature of air and water , turbidity, the flow –stream velocity total soluble substances, potential of hydrogen pH , total alkality, chloride , total Bacterial count (E . coli count.) results showed that pH rates tend to alkalosis and were about ( 7.56 – 7.9 ), while the salinity and total alkality in the third station recorded the highest degree of total alkality which were 306.5 mg/L in February 2005 also it recorded highest rate of bacterial count where it reached to 200×105 cell/100 ml in February having significant deference number of 181.6892×105 cell/100 ml ,while recorded highest rate of E.coli count where it reached to 71×105 cell/100 ml in February having significant deference number of 46.210×105 cell/100 ml(L.S.D 0.05).There liner relation between total Bacterial count and total alkality where observed increase total Bacterial count release with increase of total alkality.

Ecological Study of Some Factors effect on Bioremoval of chromium by microbial isolates.

Four samples were collected from waste water of Tannery factory , as triplicates , within a month. Chemicals and physical measurements where carried out on these samples , included : Do , BOD , TSS , TDS and chromium concentration.
Four bacterial isolated had been isolated from the Tannery factory : Proteus vulgaris 1C , Staphylococcus aureus 2C , Pseudomonas aeroginosa 3C , Escherichia coli 4C.
P. aeruginosa 3C was the most efficient in bioremoval of chromium from its aqueous solution in average of (132 ± 5.4) mg / ml and removal percentage reached (90.5 %).
Markedly , bacteria isolated characterized by a dominance of gram negative bacteria over the gram positive.
In relation to metal resistance P. aeruginosa 3C showed the lowest chromium resistance level UP to (1900) mg / L whereas S. aureus 2C showed the highest level among other isolates reached (5100) mg / L.
It was noted that temperature and pH had a significant effect on metal biosorption by bacteria isolated.
On contrary time of contact did not significant effect the amount of biosorped metal.
The present study established a reverse relationship between the amount of biosorped metal and its tolerance level. Since the most efficient isolates P. aeruginosa 3C.
Furthermore P. aeruginosa 3C succeeded in remove approximately all chromium ions from the sample taken from Tannery waste water.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of prostaglandin F2α on histopathological changes in additional the seminiferous tubules diameter and percentage of damage of seminiferous tubules.
The study were included (48) adult male of domestic rabbits which were randomly divided into three main group, depending on number of dose (two, four and six dose) . Each main group was subdivided into three subgroups dependence on the concentration of prostaglandin F2α (10, 30, 50) µm/Kg of body weight in addition to control group which injected with normal saline.
The results reveal as follow when comparison with control groups:-
1- There is changes in seminiferous tubules diameter and damage in seminiferous tubules in different significant levels.
2- There is histopathological changes includes changes in cell of spermatogenesis, Leydig cells and blood vessels.

Study the affect of Silica on the physical and electrical properties of Alumina (Al2O3)

The research concerns with physical properties (linear firing shrinkage ,bulk density ,open porosity , and water absorption ) and electrical properties up to 1 MHz ( dielectric constant ,electrical conductivity and power factor ) of samples prepared from Alumina powder with Quartz additives .Samples were pressed at pressure 50 MPa by using a mould has diameter 5 cm and fired at temperature 1500 OC with maturing time 2.5 hr . The research ,in the course of studying the above properties , aims to an accurate clarifying to the effect of Quartz additives percentage (5 %, 10% , 20 % , and 30 % )on the physical and electrical properties Alumina.It was found that the water absorption and open porosity decreased with increasing of Quartz additives .Also ,it was found clearly decreasing in linear shrinkage (from 5 % to 4.2 % ) at Quartz additives 5 % and 10 % ; while the variation was a trace at 20 % and 30 % ( from 4.6 % to 4.5 % ) respectively .Also , it was found decreasing of bulk density with increasing of Quartz additives up to 10 % from 1.518 gm/cm3 to 1.434 gm/cm 3 then it increased with increasing of Quartz up to 30 % from 1.541 gm/cm3 to 1.586 gm/cm 3 . In relation to electrical properties ,at the frequency 1 KHz , it was found that 5 % of Quartz additives result in maximum values of dielectric constant and power factor and electrical conductivity. The same behavior was found at 1 MHz except dielectric constant; while the 30 % of Quartz additives gave maximum dielectric constant(3.15 ) and minimum electrical conductivity and power factor (4.47*10 -8ohm-1.cm-1 ,0.0255) respectively .In general it was found ,through the curves of electrical properties with increasing of Quartz additives , that the ratio 5 % gave larger values of electrical conductivity within the extent of frequency from 200 Hz to 1 MHz ,then it decreased at the additives 10 % and 20 % .While at ratio 30 % gave minimum values of electrical conductivity compared to Alumina. The same behavior was found relative to power factor curves.

The aim of this research is decreasing the effect of atmosphere scattering on receiving rays from the detector by using a metal cavity that has special specification by putting the detector inside it in a limited distances , this hood is decrease the field of view (F O V)
Of detector also reducing the solid angle of receiving rays which is function of the utilized detector area and whole hood. to increase the efficiency of the system working, the different optical filters have been used, it will produce best detection for received rays depending on many parameters such; transmission(T%), detectivity(D*,D**), detector area, detector geometric field of view, input optical filter bandwidth and the ability of recognize the weak signals by connected it to electronic circuits.

The ligand 2-[(6-Methyl-2-benzothiazolyl)azo]-4-N-methyl-1-hydroxy aniline (BTAHA) was prepared after diazotization of amine thiazole derivative [by means of thiocynogen] with compound 4-N-methyl-1-hydroxy aniline .
Ionization constant of ligand were determined by using potentiometeric titration.
The complexes of ligand with divalent cations (Ni and Cu ) and their M:L ratio were determined using mole ratio method.
Uv-Vis spectroscopy was used to calculate stability constants for these complexes at four different temperatures and estimate the thermodynamic functions .
The solid complexes was studies using spectroscopic methods (eg:Uv.-Vis.,FTIR technique) ,Their solutions in absolute ethanol show red shift compared with the ligand solution,while FTIR spectra show many changes compared with ligand spectrum,and that was attributed to the association between ligand and metal ions.
Flame atomic absorption spectroscopy was used to determined the percentage of metal ions in their complexes solutions ,the Molar Conductivity of complexes solutions and the Magnetic susceptibility for solid complexes were used to assume the structural formula of complexes .
According to above studies it was found that the ligand was act as tridentate ligand after deprotonated the hydroxyl group on the benzene ring and the nitrogen atom in the thiazole ring and the nitrogen atom of azo group neighboring to the benzene ring,and then the formation of octahydral complexes may take place .

Evaluation of Physical and Chemical Properties of Thi-Qar Marshlands Water

The study had just finished about some environmental parameters of water for many locations of the marshes in the south of Iraq , during October,2006 to January,2007 for evaluation the environmental effects over the water of the marshes pH , conductivity , total salts dissolve , ions concentration of Cl , CO3 , HCO3 , NO3 , SO4 , K , Na , Ca , Mg , of the water where the estimated results are (7.33-8.25) , (1.2-5.6) mmos/cm , (780-3790) , (877-92) , (15-0) , (360-73) , (27.5-0) , (1267-269) , (21.3-2.5) , (600-100) , (304-64) , (178-29) ppm. Respectively .

In this research the Sodium Absorption Ratio (SAR) and the Residual Sodium Carbonate (RSC) were studied too for knowing the Sodiumic-effect over the water of the marshes , so that can use it for irrigation
Finally , the study has show us that the water of the marshes was high Salinity and of high Sodiumic hazard .

Effect of phospholipase and the fungus which it produced (Aspergillus niger) on the some of blood parameters of male mice (Mus musculus)

The present study included the isolation and identification of phospholipase from Aspergillus niger , and then the study of the effect of phospholipase and the fungus which it produced (Aspergillus niger) on some blood parameters of male mice.
A.niger was isolated from patients with epidermal infection , and then growth on SDA media . The ability of fungus for product of phospholipase was examined by plate assay method under standard condition . The phospholipase was isolated after the growth of fungus on liquid media. The male mice were injected ( I. P. ) with 0.1 , 0.2 ml / animal /day for 7 days (first stage) and 14 days (second stage) from phospholipase enzyme and then it’s effect on some blood parameters were recorded. Other groups of male mice were injected with 0.1 and 0.2 ml /animal with suspension of A.niger spores for one time , then after 7 days (first stage) and 14 days (second stage) the some blood parameters were examined .
The results indicated that the phospholipase and suspension of A.niger spores caused a significant reduction in blood parameters ( R.B.C. , P.C.V. , Hb and W.B.C. ) of male mice .

Isolation & Identification of aerobic bacteria Causing Urinary Tract Infection in Pregnant Women in Al-Diwaniya city and its sensitivity to some antibiotics

( 250 ) urine specimens were collected from women contacting the Educational Hospital for children and & Delivery in Al Diwaniya city that suffering from urinary tract infection , ( 200 ) from pregnant women and ( 50 ) from non pregnant women .Isolated and diagnosed bacteria from pregnant women were :
Escherichia coli( % 26.49 ) , Pseudomonas aeruginosa (% 24.50 ) , Staphylococcus aureus ( % 14.56 ) , , proteus vulgaris ( % 11.29 ) , proteus mirabilis ( % 7.28 ) , Klebsiella pneumoniae ( % 5.96 ) , Coagulase negative Staphylococci ( % 4.63 ) , Klebsiella oxytoca ( % 3.31 ) , Enterococcus cloacae ( % 1.32 ) . While Escherichia coli , Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Staphylococcus aureus , proteus vulgaris ,Coagulase negative Staphylococci were ( % 37.5 ) , ( % 25 ) , ( % 18.75 ) , ( % 12.5 ) , ( % 6.25 ) respectively were isolated from non pregnant women.
As for the effect of antibiotics on bacteria it was found the most powerfull antibiotic on Escherichia coli , Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Staphylococcus aureus and proteus spp was Amikacin with percentage ( % 89.23 ) , ( % 84.54 ) , ( % 90.57 ) , ( %88.12 ) while the isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa resisted Ampicillin and Amoxicillin with percentage ( % 100 ) and Staphylococcus aureus resisted Ampicillin and with percentage ( % 100 ).

Serum Lipid Profile In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus In Male and Females: More Atherogenic Lipid Profile In Postmenopausal females

In the present study we evaluated serum lipids profiles alteration in the type 2 diabetic males and females with fair to good controls, in addition we compared the level of serum lipid profiles in diabetic males with that of diabetic females, and the level of serum lipid profiles in diabetic premenopausal with that of their diabetic postmenopausal counter parts. To achieve this aim, 112 type 2 diabetic patients and 100 age matched healthy individuals with normal glucose tolerance test (control groups) including in this study. These patients and controls subject were classified as male(58 patients ,50 controls), females (54 patients ,50 controls) . Females then subdivided into premenopausal females(27 patients ,25 controls) and postmenopausal females(27 patients ,25 controls) .Body mass index and clinical tests including serum lipoproteins were measured for patients and controls. The results revealed significant (p<0.001) elevation of serum total cholesterol, triglycerides ,LDL- cholesterol , VLDL- cholesterol , except HDL-cholesterol which is decreased significantly (p<0.001), in all diabetic patients when compared with those of control groups. Females patients had higher level (p<0.05), of BMI , total cholesterol triglycerides, LDL-cholesterol, VLDL- cholesterol and low HDL- cholesterol (p<0.05), compared to age matched male patients. However, there was no significant difference in the total cholesterol and the triglycerides between the diabetic premenopausal ,and postmenopausal females (P>0.05). and a significant reduction in the level of HDL –cholesterol and VLDL-cholesterol in the postmenopausal group, and significant increase in the vale of LDL- cholesterol(P<0.05).The results pointed out, that the sex was not an independent risk factor for hyperlipidemia,in addition, diabetic postmenopausal females are more prone for hyperlipidemia than diabetic premenopausal females, consequently they are more prone of developing Cardiovascular diseases.

Antimicrobial Susceptibilities among Respiratory Isolates of Haemophilus influenzae, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Streptococcus pneumoniae in Hillah Infants

In this study 105 infants with respiratory conflicts diagnosis by physician were studied searching for the main causative agents and Antimicrobial Susceptibility for each causative. 105 isolates from infants with respiratory infections collected each of Haemophilus influenzae, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and S. pneumoniae from proven or likely significant respiratory tract infections were collected respiratory specimens in Babylon Maternity and Children Hospital from October2007 to March2008.
Streptococcus pneumoniae formed the major cause of Respiratory infection in infants it reveal 56.2% followed by Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and H. influenzae (27.6%), (16.2%) respectively. Infants whom investigated for infection with Respiratory infection and other disease were below 24 months of age.
The study found that Respiratory infection was more in those living in rural areas (45.8%%), (69%) and (64.7%) represents Streptococcus pneumoniae, MRSA and Haemophilus influenzae respectively.
Streptococcus pneumoniae show sensitivity to Amikacin, Amoxicillin, Cefodizim, Cephalexin,Chloromphenicol,Gentamycin,Kanamycin,Lincomycin,Nitrofurantoin, Norfloxacin, Oxacillin, Ofloxacin, Oxytetracyclin, Rifampim, Spiramycin and Tobramycin . While Haemophilus influenzae have sensitivity to Ceftizoxime, Clarithromycin, Ofloxacin and Tetracycline. MRSA sensitive to Amikacin, Norfloxacin and Nitrofurantoin.

The main aim of this paper is to give a comprehensive presentation of estimating method namely standard Bayes and proposed Bayes estimator for exponential and weibull parameter. To have the goal that is the best estimation method, we used simulation with different samples sizes. Some new results are obtained and some of our modifications are much better than the classical methods of estimation.

Collisional electronic energy-loss straggling has been studied theoretically on the basis of the distant-collision contribution to straggling. The present work is to estimate the energy straggling of sub-shell for target atoms using impact parameter representation of swift charged particle under grazing incidence of solid targets.
The effect of excited core electrons which has frequently been neglected is shown to be significant .The numerical formulas, found in the research ,were solved by using computer program in (Fortran-90).

Spectrophotometric Determination of Chromium ( VI ) Using a new Organic Reagent 4 – ( 6 – Nitro – 2 – Benzothiazolylazo ) – Resorcinol

This work include the preperation of a new organic reagent 4 – (6 – Nitro – 2 – benzothiazolylazo ) – resorcinol ( 6 – NO2BTAR ) and it's use spectrophotometric method for determination of microamounts of chromium . (6–NO2BTAR ) reacts with chromium ( VI ) to form a stable orange 1 : 2 ( metal : ligand ) complex at 460 nm at pH 7.2 . The molar absorptivity of the complex is 3423 L . mol-1 . cm-1 . Beer's law is obeyed in the rang ( 0.5 – 25 ) µg . ml-1 with a detection limit of 0.31 µg . ml-1 and the stability constant was found to be 9.2059 × 109 L2 . mol-2 . The relative standard deviation , recovery and relative error values of method were found to be R.S.D%=1.05%,Re%=99%,Erel=-1% . The most important interference were du to Ag+,Cd2+,Cu2+,Ni2+,Fe2+,Co2+,Fe3+, and MoO42- and suitable masking agents were used . The method was applied successfully for determination of chromium in clay river of AL – Hilla .

Study of Solvent Extraction of Lanthanum with some Crown Ether Compounds
