In this paper, we show the degree of approximation by a single hidden layer feed forward model with n units
in the hidden layer is bounded below by the degree of approximation by a linear combination of n ridge functions. We
prove that there exists an analytic, strictly monotone, sigmoidal activation function for which this lower bound is
essentially attained.
Also we extend the Kolmogorov’s existence theorem to be apply at any compact set, (i.e., closed and bounded
set) also we prove that a FFNN with one hidden layer can uniformly approximate any continuous function of several
variable, f(x1, x2, …, xn), which is defined in compact set to any required accuracy.

journal of al-qadisiyah for pure science(quarterly), 2007, Volume 7, Issue 4, Pages 203-213

This work consists of three sections. In section one we will study the properties of
P-connected spaces [3] and we will show that the product of two P-connected spaces is Pconnected.
In section two we recall the definition of I- space [2] and we will introduce
similar definition PI-space using pre open sets and also we will study some properties of
this definition. In [8],[2] D T -space and MI- space are studied respectively. In section
three we introduce similar definition P T - space using pre open sets. In particular we will
prove that in MI-space the P T - space and D T -space are equivalent.

journal of al-qadisiyah for pure science(quarterly), 2007, Volume 7, Issue 4, Pages 26-30

The antimicrobial action of various concentrations of Peganum harmala extracts on growth of four isolates of pathogenic bacteria and toxigenic isolate of Fusarium acuminatum producing T-2 toxin were studied . The results showed that gram positive bacteria ( Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis ) were more sensitive to different concentrations ( 125 – 500 mg /Disk) of harmal extracts than gram negative bacteria ( Escherichia coli and pseudomonas fluorescens ) . S. aureus was highly affected than the other bacteria . The results obtained during this study also showed that the harmala extracts were highly active against both of Fusarium acuminatum growth and T-2 toxin at the concentration of harmala which varied from 400 to 600 ppm which showed decreased in mycelial growth from 1.90 to 1.33 ug / 50 ml and from 119.1 to 96.5 ug / ml for T-2 toxin production in liquid medium after 20 days of incubation at 25 C .

The use of wood flour (W.F.) and pragmitis communis (P.C.) as a filler in low density polyethylene (LDPE) was studied in several concentration 10-50%w/w . The mechanical properties of LDPE and its composites , tensile strength at 10-20% w/w concentration increased while for other filler ratio decreased . The elongation of these composites decreased with increase the filler percent , Young modulus and hardness increase while impact strength and fracture energy were decrease with the increased of filler percent .

The present study aims at investigating the effect of Vitamin C on phagocytosis features of rats 20 white rats were usual in this study. They were divided into group. The control group consisting of 10 rats served with normal drinking water for 21 days and the experimental group consisting of 1 rats served with vitamin C in (14 mg/kg) concentration twice a day and for 21 days. The does given was (1 ml) each time .
After 21 day the rats were etherized and blood sample taken which were then subject to phagoctosis tests such as the total number of WBC and deferential number of WBC the goverage of phagocytosis 30 and 60 minute after the test. Results indicated a significant increase in total number of WBC (P > 0.05 ) and percentage wandering self and the average phagocytosis. No significant change were noticed in total percentage of Acidophil calls and lymphocyte cells. This indicats the signiticant role of Vetamin C in increasing phagocytosis of whit cells responsible of they phagocyosis function of the body.

In this screening study, 100 child were involved taken randomly of both sexes 58 males and 42 females aging 2-5 years. They are submitted to investigations of Hb, TSI and TIBC.
38 child (38%) showed decreased TSI with normal Hb and TIBC from whom 24 cases are males and 14 are females.
32 child (32%) showed result of IDA (i.e decrease TSI, increase TIBC and decrease Hb) from whom 16 cases are males 16 are females.
The rest (30 cases ) showed normal results (i.e normal Hb, TSI and TIBC) 18 are males and 12 are females.

journal of al-qadisiyah for pure science(quarterly), 2007, Volume 7, Issue 4, Pages 31-36

An experiment was conducted in the glass house Biology / Dept./ College of Science / Kufa University from the period of 10/1/2007 till 3/3/2007 as factorial experiment with two factors .the first was to study the effect of water quantity that used to irrigate seeds and seedlings (50,100 and 150 ml/kg.soil) The second was the covering quality (without covering , covering by clear polyethylene and black polyethylene) on emergence and seedling growth of Vicia faba L. local variety ,as factorial experiment with three replicates .
The experiment included measuring emergence percentage (10 days after sowing) and growth parameters (seedling length; branch number; leaf number; leaf area and both fresh and dry weights of seedlings (50 days after sowing).
Results showed that, irrigation with 100 ml/kg soil; covering by black polyethylene; interaction between 100ml./kg.soil with covering by black polyethylene and irrigation with 150 ml. /kg. soil accompanied with clear polyethylene result in a highly emergence percentage for broad bean seeds .
Watering with 150 ml. /kg. soil ,as well as covering by black polyethylene and the interaction between the above treatments produced the largest values for the studied growth parameters .

journal of al-qadisiyah for pure science(quarterly), 2007, Volume 7, Issue 4, Pages 120-129

This study is concerned with the adsorption of Crystal violet from solution on the surface of polyester. visible-spectrophotometric technique has been used to produce quantitative adsorption data at different conditions of contact time, ionic strength and temperature.
The adsorption isotherms are of S-curve type according to Giles classification. Adsorption follows the first order rate expression and Freundlich isotherm n value was found to be 2.22, representing favorable adsorption.
The adsorption phenomenon was examined as a function of temperature (10, 25, 30 oC). The extent of adsorption of Crystal violet on the Polyester was found to increase with increasing temperature (endothermic process). The basic thermodynamic functions have also been calculated.
The adsorption process is affected by the electrolyte concentration. The results indicated a decrease in adsorption of crystal violet in the presence of sodium chloride.

System Identification Using a Hybrid Feed Forward Neural Networks

journal of al-qadisiyah for pure science(quarterly), 2007, Volume 7, Issue 4, Pages 221-229

A back-propagation feed forward neural network with three layers was applied for different systems identifications. The intermediate layer (hidden layer) of the proposed neural network is built with hybrid activation functions provided with two different activation functions namely linear activation function and hyperbolic tangent activation function. The results show the ability of the network to identify linear as well as nonlinear system with high speed of convergence comparing with traditional neural network structures. Without the need to build networks that have activation factions correspond the applied system.

This study was conducted at the college of Agriculture, Baghdad University during winter 2001, from January 5 ¡V February 10, aiming to compare blood serum proteins of six native strains with White Leghorn (WL) and New Hampshire (NH) acclimatized in Iraq. Disc ¡V gel electrophoresis was used for separation and identification blood serum proteins.
Serum proteins of all strains and breeds were separated into eight regions identified as:- Pre-albumin, Albumin, Post-albumin, £, ƒÒ, £^ ¡V Globulins and Transferrin. £^ ¡V Globulin was the largest portion of the total blood serum proteins, Albumin and Post ¡V albumin were the next. All native strains significantly (P < 0.01) predominant in the pre centages of £^ ¡V Globulin, whereas WL and NH were significantly (P < 0.01) predominant in the percentages of blood serum Albumin and £-Globulin, also the two standard breeds acclimatized in Iraq were predominant over all native strains with the exception of Black chicken in blood serum Post-albumin.
The data indicated that Nacked Neck chickens could be used genetically to improve natural immunity.
